Soft-Sole Leather Baby Shoes Pattern
This is a pattern that I designed after seeing some Robeez™ baby shoes at a play date. I checked into getting my son some, as his foot was so chubby that standard shoes were uncomfortable. Once I heard how great soft-soled shoes were for children under 2; I knew he needed them, but I couldn’t afford their prices.
I’ve been making my son his own soft-sole leather shoes for over 2 years and he loves them. I am constantly asked if they are Robeez™, and people are shocked to find out I made them myself.
This pattern has recently been updated to include both a wide and a normal seam allowance to better fit your child's foot! A chart detailing measurements per shoe size is also available as well as directions for measuring you child's foot. The photo below shows the pattern sheet that accompanies one of our packages.
Soft-Sole Shoe Package Includes
Six (6) complete different size sets, in normal and wide width; detailed instructions with color photos of each step in the process; tips on working with leather and caring for your shoes, and four appliques (puppy, frog, flower, and bear).
The standard soft-sole shoe pattern is one of the first on our website to be offered in a professional format. You will receive a pattern printed out on 20-pound bond paper that is 36-inches wide, clear and crisply printed directions, and it will all be contained in a resealable envelope for safe keeping. The size groupings include: Infant (sizes preemie, newborn, 1, 2, 3, and 4), Toddler (sizes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10), and Child (sizes 11, 12, 13, 1, 2, and 3).
The print version of the pattern is only $10.95 with $2.50 shipping and handeling.
The electronic version of the pattern is only $8.95. The files emailed to you will print out on standard 8x11 paper and be sent as PDF files. If you do not have Adobe Reader you can download it for free from Adobe.
